If so Savannah Lodge are searching for several new posts, of Parenting Support Workers based within our Family Residential home in Essex, to work directly with complex families where there are safeguarding concerns and there may be a real risk of them otherwise coming into care. Successful candidates will work alongside the Social Workers and families to coach parents to improve their parenting abilities and support children primarily aged under 5 to reach their full potential.
Due to the responsive nature of the role, we require reliable and flexible team players that are able to work some evenings and possibly weekends. As this is a responsive service that works best for families, it will be an expectation to be able to work flexibly, including some evenings and possibly weekends.
We are looking for people who:
Essential:
Educated to GCSE level Clear enhanced DBS check
Evidence of a commitment to continue professional development
Desirable:
A level 3 qualification in early years, social care, or related fields Accredited or nationally recognised qualifications in an evidence based parenting programme e.g.
Triple P/Webster Stratton Accredited or nationally accredited qualification in an evidence based intervention e.g. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Motivational Interviewing Multi Systemic Therapy
